I’m moving to Chicago in September and I need some comfortable boots that I can wear when it snows but that will also look good inside. I want some that will be warm and will be able to trudge through the snow but that don’t look like “snow” boots. I also don’t want to pay a lot for them. Any suggestions??

I realized a week before my trip that I need hiking boots and I don;t have any so what are some that will break in fast or take no breaking in at all? Also what are some quick ways of breaking in hiking boots? I heard wearing the with wet socks will break them in fast. Is this true?

I work in a food production plant (had a Snickers lately? Yeah I mixed the ingredients) and most of the day my shoes grip the floor just fine. But late into my shift sanitation crews begin to clean equipment and the concrete floor gets wet. As soon as my new “slip resistant” boots get wet on the bottom I might as well be walking on smooth ice. My old work boots didnt slip nearly as much but they are to worn out for use. Is there any way to prevent this slipping?

Like some general purpose boots or shoes that aren’t overly bulky, that I can wear in casual situations as well as accommodate for high activity. Thank you.

Im looking for reasonably priced (less than $ 100) boots for back to school. Im looking for black boots that go up to around the calf area. I dont want a heel. Im looking for boots that are in stlye for Fall 2010. Help!
I forgot to mention im a junior in high school!

I see them all around – horse shows, lessons – people wear these boots over their riding boots to keep them clean. What are they and where can I get them?

Additional Details
They are not half chaps, not rubber pull on boots- they are these big, kind of bulky boots you can zip on over your riding boots

I know I asked this two days ago, but none of the answers were right.

I recently bought a Burton Clash 160 and have a size 13 boot. Someone already answered my question on here and said that if i got a less bulkier boot it may work. Any boots in particular? I have looked at the Burton Moto 2011. Also he mentioned that I could put pads in my boot to go down a size but this doesnt make sense. Any feedback would help. Thanks guys

I need to buy some new ones, i wanted to know which one and which type of boots shall i get. Not tooo expensive.

In my physics class, we have to do a project called ExploraVision. We have to take an everyday object and make it into a new invention. Well, my group chose to invent boots that use thermal energy from friction to warm your feet. We need to find a way to harness the thermal energy and send it up into the boot. Any ideas?

for snowboards why do you have to have snowboard boots?
